When is the best time for our professional photos to be taken?

One of the most critical things in a wedding is planning out the timing of the day. Ideally it is great to allow around 60-90 minutes to capture photos of you and your bridal party.  This generally allows for covering multiple locations and ensures it is a fun and relaxing time for everyone involved.  I don’t like to take longer as it’s important you enjoy your celebration with the people you love.  It’s great to consider this early in your planning so you can organise your ceremony and reception with this time in mind. Ask any photographer and they’ll generally say that the best time for photographs is during the last hour before sunset. It’s that time of the day when the light is golden.  However each wedding is different and timings will depend on a number of factors including the time of year, location and even the availability of ceremony & reception venues.  If you’d like any recommendations around timing, please ask!

Dragonfly Do you travel?

I live in Brisbane, and regularly cover weddings throughout South East Queensland & Northern New South Wales. I love to travel & if you would like me to photograph your wedding interstate, an exotic island destination or even overseas, I’m there! (Who’s really ever going to say no to that?).

Please note that travel more than 2 hours from Brisbane will incur travel expense.

How many images do you provide?

Each wedding is different & ultimately it will depend on the day, the duration of coverage, & the photos you’re after.  Generally I provide between 200-450 professionally edited images in a selection of colour and black and white.  Digital files are provided to you on USB as high resolution JPEGS ready to print. I also include Facebook & email friendly versions to make it easy for you to share your memories with friends and family.

Dragonfly

Can we print the photos?

Yes, you can print them through me, or take them to a lab of your choice.

Dragonfly

Can we have all of the images you’ve taken?

The photos that are selected are the very best images taken that tell the story of your day. Time is spent enhancing each of these images to provide you with a beautiful end result that you can share and print. Whilst there are more photos taken, some are simply not worth editing or sharing. I do want you to love every one of the images you receive!

Test shots, light adjustments on the fly and recomposing images to ensure that you are captured in the most flattering angles are all part of the reason you employ a professional photographer. Often, particularly with group photos multiple shots are taken – this is to ensure where possible that we avoid blinking eyes, awkward facial expressions and people making last minute fixes to hair etc.

The images you are presented with are a beautiful collection of memories of your day ready to print and share.
